Quantcast

Turkeyhood Estate πŸ—(Completed)

Status: Finished, might fix for any bugs

Music used: Waterflame - Wingless

ID: 3077048157 (Whitelisted)

Main maps purpose: a Thanksgiving map lol

Backstory:
One, very (un)sudden Thanksgiving, the Turkeyhood citizens had to evacuate the beautiful meadows because they all neard on the news that 2 floods, one normal and volcanic one, wrere expected today.
And at the unforgiving minute, you heard about all that and wanted to prove that the warnings were false and that they can have their Thanksgiving meals in peace. But as you stumble along, some meadows were flooded, and you put yourself in HUUUUUGE danger.

Pictures:

Starting area.

The second button in the 1st pic makes this door lower down for a safe escape reason.

A sunken meadow with huge trees (don’t worry they are CanCollide: False)

Still the huge tree meadow that shows the 3rd button.

The 4th button is in the meadow I showed 2 pictures ago, and just like 2nd button, it opens 2 doors

Those 2 doors I was talking about in the last picture lol

A sort of entrance to a palace corridor

The palace corridor (inspired by cursed mansion)

Yep, I guess you saw that dark red-brown β€œvent”, that is where you go next lol (inspired by deserted undergrounds)

An attic, after pressing that button you go back to the next door

That door

Another meadow when you leave the burning palace

After you press that stupid button a truss appears on that little terrain sample

The rest of the meadow

The ending area

So that’s it for the map.

:warning:NOTICES::warning:

  • The map will be sort of a legacy, but if you complain the trees look β€œodd” (well they are supposed to be0, I might redo them again, but I won’t post the newer trees ON the topic. They might be posted later on in the comments.

  • This map is to kept more β€œsimple”, as I kinda want that in the FE2 Grounds, so I gave it a bit less detail than usual.

  • The ending area might be widened out, and I might also extend the map, and the current ending area will be an entrance to a mineshaft.

detail:
cons

  1. the neon on the boxes and the pipes dont fit in with the environment
  2. some materials just look random
  3. why man
    image
  4. this door looks ugly ngl
  5. the pipes just come out of nowhere and it makes the map more scifi than natural
  6. yeah ik you wont change the trees but the leaves need to be more down as well (add an extra layer)
  7. the whole map is kinda orange-red while the boxes are yellow it doesn’t really fit and looks kinda ugly.
  8. why are there those extremely spaced out vines

pros

  1. materials are mostly used well and the map isn’t overdetailed (wow good news mat)
  2. the colours are relaxing (except the boxes)
  3. the pillars are creative
  4. lava colour fits in even though its reddish
  5. simple yet outstanding details
  6. good texture choices

overall
this map is nice but some stuff is weird and doesnt fit in my opinion

Gobble gobble

Looks like a good map imo.

May I suggest making the massive tree’s leaves a tiny bit higher so they’re not in your face so much?
